VIDEO: Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl rock the Grammy awards.

In case you missed it, Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl ROCKED the Grammy Awards last night.  This wasn’t Paul and Dave’s first time together performing in recent memory.

“I Saw Her Standing There” (Feb 2009)

Here’s Paul and Dave Grohl live together at Anfield from last year in case you missed it.

“Band on the Run” (June 2008)

No Paul did not win a grammy award for His Amoeba EP, but it was an outstanding star-studded night.  Checkout the complete list of winners here. As the article indicates, it was a mini-British invasion of sorts with several Brits snapping up many many awards.

  1. YouTube took the grammys one down due to copyright infringement.

  2. hey where was Ringo? :S was he at the grammys too? why didn’t HE do the drums? such a shame 😦

  3. I’m not the biggest fan of Foo Fighters, but I loved Nirvana in the 90’s and I still think “In Utero” was one of the greatest records coming out of that decade.

Kurt Cobain had that something, I believe, that magic touch, like Jim Morrison in many ways .

When Morrison died The Doors transformed from magic to ordinary. Compared to Nirvana that’s what Foo Fighters is to me. Good rock musicians, good rock music, but nothing special or unique about it.

Dave Grohl is a brilliant drummer though. Just listen to his drumming on “Nevermind” and “In Utero”. He sure was an important part in making the music of Nirvana so explosive.

  4. So explosive … And legendary.

  5. And by the way: “In Utero” is the “John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band” of the 90’s.

McCartney didn’t win a grammy for the Amoeba Ep. It’s brilliant live material but he should really have won a grammy for the “Memory Almost Full” Album. Or is it too late? It was released summer of 2007.

Or a grammy for The Fireman Album “Electric Arguments”. Or is it too early?

Whatever. I don’t think McCartney should be very sorry and feel unsuccessful. : )

  6. Nice to see Paul at the Grammy’s but too bad the first video was pulled….. gotta love the Beatles!

  7. Hey…just wanted to let any of you gamer/Beatle fans know that Guitar Hero on the 360 has new downloadable content from Wings! Songs are Hi Hi Hi, Junior’s Farm, and Jet. I was thrilled…just thought others should know. Hadn’t saw any news on it yet.

  8. I am glad to see two great superstars take the stage.I wish John and George were still with us.

  9. Hey guys,

Wanted to tell you about this incredible Beatles cover band called THE FAB FAUX. They are the closest Beatles sounding band I’ve ever come across; it’s almost like a trip back to the 60’s. They are gonna be playing in Washington D.C. on 5/22/2010 at Lisner Auditorium. Do check them out and support the music.
