Reports say McCartney may marry new girlfriend.

Could Paul McCartney be getting on bended knee soon for his new girlfriend.  I mean, he is the world’s most elgigble bachelor at this point, right?

It seems that our dear boy cannot be alone.  You’d think that he’d want some time to himself after what was a bitter, bitter, and costly divorce from Heather Mills.  We know that this news report is from a bit of a tabloid-ish source, but we thought you’d want to stay informed about the “cute” Beatles’ love life.  We’ll keep you posted.

Let’s just hope that if Paul does get remarried again that this time around he signs a prenuptial agreement.

Here’s what we’ve read.

Paul McCartney is thinking about marrying Hamptonite Nancy Shevell, the British tabloid News of the World reported yesterday.

McCartney, 65, and Shevell, 47, were photographed kissing outside an Amagansett sushi restaurant in November and are on a road trip on Route 66, according to several published reports.

Shevell, a board member of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, is legally separated from Bruce Blakeman, a Port Authority commissioner and former presiding officer of the Nassau County Legislature.

According to the tabloid, McCartney told his daughter Stella that he is considering proposing to Shevell. The unsourced story said Stella gave her blessing.

McCartney’s publicist declined to comment. Messages left at Shevell’s office and at Blakeman’s home were not returned.

  1. I think if he does end up marrying her he’s jumping the gun a bit. Not that I’m comparing her to Heather or anything but he jumped the gun with her and we all know how that turned out. I think he should date her for a while, move in together, and then consider marriage. Not date her for a few months and get married.

  2. I don’t think he was ready for serious dating so soon after Linda’s death. But he didn’t marry Heather til 3 years after they met. Of course, there was still a lot he didn’t know about her in those 3 years!

The difference with Nancy is they knew each other for years before dating. She and her husband knew Linda too. They’re still a new couple though, so I also would like to see them live together first.

Paul is an old-fashioned guy, he likes being married. I just don’t want that to get him into trouble again.

  3. Krikey!

Please god tell me he is gonna sign the prenup!

  4. I don’t care if the gets married again or not, but if he does, I hope to hell he actually listens to his family, legal and financial advisors, and the general public who tell him to GET A PRENUP and save us all the public circus that went on with Heather Mills.

It seems that the great Sir Paul just doesn’t know how to live his life without a bird on his arm, hmmm?

  5. He’s a born artist and she is a business woman. I wonder how compatible that is in the long run? Socially, it would be fine but day to day, soul to soul, where’ s the connection? I would rather see him with another artist, a painter, a writer, a musician. Someone to feed his soul. Granted, I know nothing about fair Nancy but I just wonder, that’s all. Pre-nups are useless cause they just get challenged in the end anyway and off to court we go.

  6. Well of course I want him for myself… but he is a good fifty years older than me, so the next best thing would be to see him happy. From interviews, Nancy seems really nice and if they’re happy together, they should do whatever they want- of course… no one wants Paul to have another Heather.

  7. Paul and his new ladyfriend totally make a cute couple
