  1. it’s a funny video,really funny!what a couple!Paul and a mandolin!ahahah,and those ghosts,creating a fantastic atmosphere.this video i think it’s not particular,because in my point of view it’s really simple about its plot,but i think is much funny!and sir Paul is always in good form!

  2. I was hoping that the mail truck at the beginning would crash into his house. Seriously, I was. Strange video.. Strange…
Not very realistic, you know? Ya, he gets a mandelin in the mail and “suddenly” starts singing! He could have done better. The only song I hate more is his “Wonderful Christmas Time” song. That one literally made me feel sick! Plus, the guy who delivered the package to him, doesn’t he have other things to do? I may be 13, but I know what music is. I am a fan of the Beatles, that’s how I came across this. I wish I hadn’t.

  3. for Kristen Boyd:listen, sometimes we don’t like something about some music videos, but this is normal!i don’t think you told the truth telling:”i wish i hadn’t”,no really i don’t think so!i think you told that because of your deep love for them, and maybe you always listened all beautiful songs, and never listened some not excellent songs.try to do it!i think the 99% of Beatles songs are wonderful, then maybe there’s the other 1% that are silly songs(?),boring songs(?),heavy songs(?)etc but always not so bad!so,try to listen more and more and don’t stop yourself at the first impression.and above all listen their solo career songs, because they will learn to you to accept and understand even some songs that you don’t like too much. P.S. hey,but you have a famous surname!maybe are you a Patty Boyd secret sister??? 🙂

  4. it’s a great little song to sing to little kids while they dance. paul is very good at writing those. don’t know about this being a good first single from that album. the video is pretty cute. one of my friends said she wished it had more macca harmonies, and i’m inclined to agree with her. but it’s overall sweet.

  5. it’s a great little song for adults. those who don’t like it, please don’t listen. paul is paul, don’t expect the beatles out of 1 beatle. this album is awesome. if you really love paul, then you will love the whole album, if not you won’t. i am so excited about it’s release, but it’s only a few days away. i am just glad that paul and ringo are still recording great music. looking forward to ringo’s liverpool 8 cd, too.

  6. its differnt, but i like it alot. one of the things that i love about paul after the whole beatles thing, is that he stayed different and kept changing. He didn’t try to reinvent himself as a “new beatle” he shed his beatle skin and went for paul-ness. and paulness is amazing. and I am extrememly excited about this albums release!

  7. I think it is a nice little song, but was disappointed with the video. The first thing I thought when I saw it was, “Got My Mind Set On You” (the original video, before they re-did it — the one with the singing animal heads, etc)

  8. for Kaz:you know i was thinkin the same thought as you!yes,it’s a new remake of the video:”got my mind set on you”,but i think that video is in the music history videos!that video is still a cult!this one…….i don’t really know!

  9. I was a little dissapointed that Natalie Portman wasn’t featured more prominently. Other than that I thought it was a neat little video that didn’t try to blind you with lights or flash. I also quite liked the fire extinguisher bit.

  10. My first thought was “This is a rip-off of a White Stripes video!” However, I realized that Michel Gondry directed both the White Stripes video and this video, so no wonder they look the same. Cute song, and I love Gondry’s work.

  11. as kaz says…i also felt the same feeling. i remember 20 years ago when cloud 9 came out, i thought the video was cool, a haunted house with a guy playing a stringed instrument, now we have it again, maybe a tribute to george? cool video never the less. 45 years after love me do, and still going strong.

  12. I love all things Macca. I’ve defended him even when he commits the indefensable (Say Say Say). I am baffled that of all the songs on what is a quite good album, this would be chosen as a) The single and b) the lead off track. It is a ditty that sounds like it was written in one (short) sitting. It makes “Young Boy” sound like “Bohemian Rhapsody.” in comparison.
Still love him though. Always will.

  13. Its Paul doing what he does.
He’s whimsical when he wants and can lay down a rocker, no doubt.

The real beauty for me, is seeing an old “friend” enjoying.
We have been fortunate enough to be blessed with hearing some great and gifted works and it allows us older, teary eyed nostalgics to drift back in time.

And dont let anyone tell you thats foolish.

Those would be the same people who say oh grow up start acting your age, when your spirit is moving joyously through life.

How beautiful for him to share his innards with us 🙂

  14. Ok, I do like a lot of other Paul McCartney songs, I was a little disapointed when I saw this video though. I was kind of in a bad mood when I wrote the other comment. When I was younger, before I liked The Beatles, I remember Paul McCartney singing at the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. I didn’t even really know who he then, was but I was truly delighted by his singing. This wasn’t my first impression of him.

  15. to: Ulla; I love John Lennon’s solo career songs.

  16. for Kristen: 🙂 well,in this case then i could say you’re listening the masterpieces of music!!!no,well even Paul,George have done masterpieces, but it’s a pleasure to me,have known that you like listening John(because i’m a John’s fan).and i hope for this we’ll become friends and will sharing our love for him, together.i hope to see and read your other comments in this blog.xxxx**Ulla**
