Heather Mills’ disability led to dancing gig.

To me this story seemed a little sad.  It seems that the soon-to-be ex-Mrs. McCartney has landed a TV Hollywood gig after all this time.  It has come to the attention of the media that show has picked her for less than glamorous reasons.  You see, the show picked her due to her disability.  It seems they are scraping the bottom of the barrel with this one, you’d think that the high-profile divorce would take precendence, but sadly (for Heather) it does not.  The star has truly faded on this media/attention whore.

I mean really does anyone care anymore?  Next she’ll come out with an album, and release it on the same day as The Beatles’ remasters…

Here’ what we’ve read.

The executive producer of Dancing With The Stars says that Heather Mills was approached for the hit show because of her disability, not her headline-making divorce battle.

“The only reason we booked [Heather] is because we thought it would be really interesting to have a disabled person on the show,” the show’s executive producer, Conrad Green, told the New York Daily News.

During the last series of the US show, which is similar to the UK’s Strictly Come Dancing, country music star Sara Evans dropped out amid reports that she was “in the middle of a nasty divorce”, which Conrad described admitted was “disruptive” and “definitely wasn’t a benefit [for the show].”

But, despite the Heather’s ongoing battle with Paul McCartney, Conrad remains optimistic about her decision to take part in the gruelling dance-off.

“I think the opportunity to make the big public point about people with disability was part of her decision to take part,” he maintained.

The series will premiere on US television on March 19 with a two-hour special.

  2. take the handicapped sticker out of your car since you can walk so good, let people who really need them, have them. {allen klein,albert goldman, fred seaman, heather mills see the connection?}
