VIDEO: New Beatle-themed film trailer now online.

The film trailer for the musical/drama/comedy, Across the Universe, is now available online.  This long talked about fim tells a coming-of-age story set in the 1960’s to Beatles music is finally available.  It looks like a fun film, and quite trippy.  The trailer of the film looks as if you took The Who’s Tommy and dipped it into the psychedelic world of The Beatles, you would get this story.  The film creates a universe where the Fab’s  songs themselves come to life.

The trailer is not at all what we expected, and I’m not really sure what the critics will think.  It looks like an interesting take on The Beatles and their music. It does look like 2007 surely will be the year that the Fab Four hit it big all over again.  I mean when you couple this film with the news of the remasters, and all the Apple rumors, it looks like 2007 will be the year of The Beatle.  Hey, maybe we’ll even get the Let it Be/Get Back film this year too.  Yeah, don’t get you hopes too high.

Yahoo Film is running the film trailer in High Definition for an online exclusive.

  1. That looks totally amazing. I’m very excited about seeing this film. Thanks for the news.

  2. I agree. A movie about the 60’s, British Invasion (literally) and ‘nam all wrapped up in a Beatle soundtrack.

“Can you take me back where I came from, can you take me back?”

  3. Seems a little too derivative of “Hair” (the movie; I never saw the Broadway show).

  4. I dunno, seems like the Billy Joel musical mixed with Moulin Rouge to me.
