Heather Mills to get $2,500 an hour.

It looks like Heather Mills is to have what some might call “the greatest part-time job ever.”  I know we have reported on several Macca divorce settlement stories, but this one looks like it may stick.  Seriously though, Heather looks to gain $80 million dollars in the coming divorce settlement.

This sum translates to $2,500 dollars for each hour that she was married to poor Paul.  Not a bad hourly wage there ‘eh?  If we hear any more settlement grumblings, we will keep you all updated.  Hopefully this whole mess will be over soon.

Here’s what we’ve read.

Heather to pocket $80m

Heather Mills appears set to pocket a divorce settlement from estranged husband Sir Paul McCartney worth the equivalent of about $2500 for each hour of their four-year marriage.

Former Beatle Sir Paul is reported to have offered the $80 million cash and property deal in an effort to keep the bitter matter out of court.

The settlement has been thrashed out by the same divorce lawyers used by Prince Charles and wife Diana when they split.

But the $80 million figure would be double what the princess was awarded in 1986.

A legal source told Britain’s News of the World: “This way Paul gets to have the divorce in private, which is all he ever wanted, and Heather avoids risking her case falling apart.

“She’s delighted.”

The deal reportedly hands over ownership of a $10 million Georgian house in north London and a $15 million mansion in Los Angeles to Ms Mills.

A reported condition of the settlement is that Sir Paul must not publicly denounce claims by Mills that he stabbed her with a wine glass and was violent toward her when she was pregnant.

A source told the News of the World that Sir Paul’s fashion designer daughter Stella McCartney “used to joke about looking forward to the day when Heather didn’t even have one leg to stand on in court. But now that day will never come”.

Police last month were called to McCartney’s country estate after his estranged wife reported the theft of paintings worth millions of dollars from the lodge they once shared.

“We checked the premises, and spoke to Heather Mills (McCartney), and . . . it was found to be a civil matter between her and her husband,” Sussex police spokesman Paddy Rea said.

“There’s been no theft.”

The Sun newspaper, quoting an unnamed friend of Mills McCartney, said McCartney had taken the paintings and reprogrammed the estate’s alarm codes and notified her by text message.

McCartney has reportedly been seeing a psychiatrist since the bitter break-up while Mills says she has been receiving death threats.
