Beatles’ sis is selling signed album.

How’s that for a tongue twister?  It looks like Louise Harrison is parting ways with her personal copy of an early Beatle album.  Here’s my questions for you….wouldn’t you want to keep that kind of history in the family?  I mean I know you can get an armload of cash for it, but I would keep something like that.  Heirlooms don’t come around too often, and wouldn’t the value simply keep going up and up as the years dragged on?

Here’s what we’ve read.

A rare signed Beatles album belonging to George Harrison’s sister is going under the hammer – and is expected to fetch more than £50,000.

Harrison’s only sister Louise is parting with her personal copy of Meet The Beatles, the first album they released in the US.

Louise got it signed on a train to Washington DC on the band’s first concert tour of America in 1964.

“I got all of them to sign it for me,” said Louise, 75.

For a while, the record – one of only nine signed US albums – was housed in President Clinton’s library in Little Rock, Arkansas, as part of a rock’n’roll display.

But when Louise, who lives in a trailer in Branson, Missouri, realised how much was worth she decided to sell it. She said: “I thought the best thing would be to use it to help my family.”

Louise plans to split the cash between her family, environmental charities and the Liverpool Legends, a Beatles tribute band she manages.
