Harrison guitar to be auctioned.

There is always a Beatle auction somewhere.  It’s usually John Lennon (l), Paul McCartney (second right) and George Harrison (r) who is holding his guitarstuff that most normal people cannot afford.  It would be nice to see this stuff I suppose, but many, most, fans will not get the chance.  This auction is at least interesting due to the rarity of the Harrison item being auctioned.  I don’t know how long he really played that guitar, but I do know that those are particularly rare.

We should all pool our money as fans and just rotate who’s house these items go to.  That would be something.

Here’s what we’ve read.

A guitar played by Beatle George Harrison in 1963 is expected to fetch more than £100,000 at a London auction.

The instrument goes on sale on 30 November – the fifth anniversary of the musician’s death.

John Lennon’s hand-painted psychedelic shirt, designed by Mick Jagger’s brother Chris, is also for sale with an estimated price of £45,000.

The Cooper Owen Music Legend auction includes nearly 300 pieces of rock and pop memorabilia.

A shirt Lennon gave to a fan in 1963, which he described as his favourite, is expected to fetch about £8,000.

A Sgt Pepper album sleeve signed by all four Beatles has been estimated at £40,000.

Unreleased recordings by the Rolling Stones and a rough version of the very first Mick Jagger and Keith Richards composition will also be included in the collection.
