Sean Lennon to appear live in Europe.

Hopefully, Sean will do a tour of the states this time around.  I had the pleasure of seeing him twice (once with Beck and once with Lenny Kravitz.  He also did a very nice CD signing all those years ago.  It was great to meet him.  Let’s see if he gives the US a go around too.  I would love to hear these songs performed live.

The son of Beatles’ legend John Lennon is to perform in the West End of Glasgow as part of a world tour.

Sean Lennon will play Oran Mor next month to promote his solo recording, Friendly Fire, released this week.

The rare appearance promises to showcase a wealth of new styles from the musician.

It follows a time during which he chose to remain out of the limelight, but he is now happy to be in the public eye again.

He said: “There was a long period after the first album where I felt disillusioned with the machinery of the industry.

“Friendly Fire is an experiment to see what it might be like to do music more publicly again, not just privately.”

The singer, who has also collaborated with stars including The Beastie Boys, Lenny Kravitz and his mum Yoko Ono, has also produced a short film for each of the album’s tracks.

The shorts make up a film about betrayal and love failure, and feature appearances from Lennon and friends including Lindsay Lohan, Bijou Phillips, Asia Argento, Carrie Fisher.

He said: “Music is invisible. I spend a lot of time in the studio with my eyes closed. This, thankfully, was not the case with the film.”

Tickets for the gig on November 1 from http://www.gigsinscotland.com priced £12.50.

  1. Oh, I’m so hoping he tours the states, too. I’m so glad he’s going to Liverpool for one of the concerts… lucky UK!

  2. Oh, I’m so sorry I’ve not been in London for your concert on November 9th. Why don’t you come to Milan (Italy) too? Please, Sean! I would be glad to see you. I’m waiting for you patiently. Bye,bye!Gabriella.
