I thought it was a great film. I would like to see it come out on DVD so i can retire my very old and worn VHS copy. I don’t get it, why not release it, its not like any can’t see it if they want. The whole film is on you tube.

You CAN have Let it Be on dvd, and more. Google “Fab Productions”, which has put out 3 dvd’s called “The Get Back Chronicles Volumes 1, 2 & 3″, has every inch of tape filmed during the production. You get to see Paul & John goofing on “Please Please Me” AND the ENTIRE rooftop concert. The discs can be downloaded, with the art and music in 5.1 surround sound, on the Googled web-sites. I love my copies!

Hi it’s Beatle Bob (Bootleg reviewer from Bootlegzone, 910, BeatlegYahoo List and many more sites) and I feel that if it does ever get released at a minimum it needs a complete overhaul. Ditch the original cut. It’s choppy, not too flattering. Nor is the continuity fluid. Give us the full rooftop performance, but also show these songs in their earlier genises and show us their evolution. The outtakes on nagra and on collectors bootleg DVDs show a Beatles that didn’t necessarily always NOT get along. It is possible to make this a fantastic release and do it right.

Since this article came out, it’s been proven that it’s npt Paul and Ringo holding this up.
Sad that a tabloid newspaper comes out with another rumor or lie however you want to call it.
The tabloid trashes love to spread lies, but it’s not just U.K. magazines, we have the national enquirerer too.

Thanks to Steve of Abbeyrdbest.com for asking Apple, instead of just beleiving these unnamed sources.

I would buy that DVD. I mean what more harm would Let it Be do to The Beatles, its only history. I mean they arent going to break up again. John and George are already dead, cmon!

Fine, don’t release the instudio stuff. I’ve seen most of it and on the whole it’s boring, worth having for the Beatle fans but not earth shattering. However, the Beatles should release the rooftop concert in its entirety. From the moment they walk out till the moment they finish. The Beatles last concert, in color with great audio. Not releasing that is a shame.

I watched that movie as a kid in the seventies. In the eitghties i borrowed it on video. What’s suddenly so controversal about it? Everbybody knows the story anyway, and the movie is a part of Beatles history. It’s an interesting movie, and the argument beetween George and Paul about musical direction, is nothing, compared to what’s going on in this world. Release it! No reason trying to change the Beatles history, and make it look cuter than it actually was. That is NOT rock ‘n’ roll!

I AM SO ANGRY AT PAUL MCCARTNEY AND RINGO STARR FOR NOT RELEASING THE LET IT BE DVD!!! TALK ABOUT RE-WRITING HISTORY!!! US BEATLE FANS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YEARS UPON YEARS FOR THIS HISTORICAL FILM TO BE RELEASED! AND WE REALLY REALLY WERE HOPING THE ROOFTOP CONCERT WOULD IN ITS ENTIRETY ON THIS DVD! PAUL AND RINGO REALLY LET THEIR FANS DOWN WITH THIS SAD DECISION. I FOR ONE AM VERY ANGRY AT THEM! LET IT BE WAS WHAT IT WAS. SO WHAT IF THE BEATLES WERE GETTING ON EACH OTHERS NERVES! IT’S PART OF HISTORY! I GUESS WE WILL HAVE TO BUY A BOOTLEG VERSION. THANKS FOR NOTHING PAUL AND RINGO!
