It’s eye candy, it’s cute ~ but you can imagine my disappointment (but not my surprise) that the company ignored the main reason The Beatles virtually Monopolized the swinging sixties, and are still considered the top of the pops.

They couldn’t have won the world over and stayed there without Brian Epstein at the steering wheel.
And the moment Brian was gone, John said he knew they were dead meat.

Without Eppy, their monopoly game was indeed at an end.

For petessake, the company would not have had to include any of the bad stuff in the game, like his private life or his death ~ after all, none of his Boys’ bad problems are included ~ but how, especially in a faux-business-oriented board game, could they just brush aside the wonderful facts?

Consequently, Beatles Monopoly becomes only a pretty piece of shallow exploitation, because (and it would have been so easy to do cleverly) it fails to reflect the miraculous, fascinating game of Beatlemania as we saw it happen in real life.

They obviously just wanted to suck people in and make a buck.
They’re succeeding, aren’t they.
