it’s all good but Jessina u cant say that because it didnt go for all their songs what happened was they would get the idea for the song and then come back with what they wrote and then added what they liked and for fuck sake i cant believe that it doesnt make the top 100 best albums in England cause its amazing, and i think what happened about lucy in the sky with diamonds about being a picture that Johns son brought home for school was nothing special just an excuse to say it doesnt mean lsd, and idk if u take acid your not going to remember the first time u did especially when your as old as paul, but i dont know maybe he does

John wrote the verses, Paul wrote the refrain, musically-speaking (as you’ll notice, each sings his section as is generally the policy)…I guess after this article it’s up for dispute who came up with the title.

Absurd that it wasn’t still at least in the top 10 of the British top 100 in 2006, if not #1 for its cultural, musical relevance and the influence it had on all that came after.

yeah, julie is right, but other than that this was way interesting….except for john wrote lucy… or at least thats what john says in imagine… i mean why would paul write a song about julian’s picture? yeah watch imagine, john explains it.

The Guardian got it wrong. Paul had already taken acid by the time he helped John with the lyrics to Lucy in the Sky.

As Paul says himself in Many Years from Now, his acid trip with John was not his first. The first one was at a party at Tara Brown’s place, the guy whose death in a car crash was the inspiration for Day in the Life.
